With decades of teaching intimate apparel all over the world, from her own studio, to the fashion university in Taiwan, Beverly Johnson is recognized around the world as your Fairy Bra Mother™. Not only is she the creator of 31 sewing patterns under the Pin-up Girls brand, she has authored 10 books on all aspects of designing, drafting, fitting and constructing intimate apparel for yourself or others. 

Beverly also taught 7 classes on bra-making, panties, bodyshapers and swimwear available on the Craftsy teaching platform, with an audience of over 100,000 viewers to date. Her debut video Sewing Bras: Construction & Fit (link to Craftsy class of same name) holds the title for the #1 selling class three years in a row and is still a best-selling class, over a decade later.

In 2004-2007, she taught a lengthy professional bra-makers course through Mohawk College, then opened her own school of Sewing Arts & Design, where sewing professionals for another 6 years. During that time, she also trained over 100 bra-making teachers using her own BCD Method of Bra Sizing.

These days, Beverly teaches almost exclusively out of her own studio in eastern Canada, or at the Saskatchewan Stitches Conference, where she is one of the original instructors, teaching since 2001.

Beverly Johnson was also the founder of Bra-makers Supply, which she started in 1996 and sold in 2022. Even though she officially “retired” from owning Bra-makers Supply, she’s not done designing yet! The launch of her new modular-style master classes is just the beginning. She will teach you how art and engineering come together in well-fitting, supportive and beautiful bras.
