In the Teacher Training class, you will do an intensive IN-PERSON 5-day Master class learning the how to fit bras and how to teach bra-making. This includes how to make your sample cups, how and when to set up classes, what types of classes you can (and should) teach and how many varieties of classes you can teach with one basic teaching pattern. You MUST already be sewing bras before this class, as this teacher training is definitely NOT a beginner class. You are expected to know how to sew knits, but better if you can also sew swimwear or bras.
The Teacher Training course includes extensive class notes and any pertinent pattern pieces you need. You will be fitting your classmates and also volunteers who have fitting anomalies. Use of the classroom sewing machines is included, and you can take your sewing machine to the hotel at night if you wish to sew there.
Aspects of Teacher Training we will be learning- fitting, advertising for classes, locations, supplies needed, how to price the classes and so much more. You will also learn the fitting of various body types and how to choose cup and band fabrics for your classes. In the custom portion of the class, learn to get clients, how to set up your workroom, how to get paid and what to charge. Probably the best aspect of teacher training is the friends you will make in your bra-making journey. From the heartfelt gratitude from your students to the bonds you form with your fellow student teachers, is a very satisfying feeling, to say the least.

Learn to master materials, elastics and wires – how to find the supplies you need from sources you can trust. Teacher Training is not just about teaching either, it is also a good class to take if you want to make custom bras for others. Many bra-making teachers also do custom bra-making to help.
You will be surprised to learn how many classes in intimate apparel you can teach once you know HOW to teach. This Teacher training is the most stream-lined version of Beverly Johnson’s former 10-day class, so you will be sure to learn the absolute “core” of the class.
Bring to class a notebook, pencils, invisible (“magic”) clear tape, rulers, curved and straight, eraser, sewing supplies, bra fabric, wires, elastics and hardware findings to make at least 2-3 (or more) bras and/or samples to take home. It is helpful to bring bras that fit and do not fit; whether you consider them a triumph or a tragedy.
